Improve Your Tarot Reading Accuracy By Learning These Timing Methods

Article by Jovita N. Orais

Some tarot readings questions don’t require timing information but if you want to know when an event will happen sometime in the future, you need to learn these methods.

Accuracy is a very important tarot reading skill to acquire of you want to add more quality and dimension to your tarot reading. If you plan to do your readings mostly in public like in psychic fairs and local coffee shops, a great percentage of your clients will most want to know a particular information about the future. Here are some tarot reading timing methods that you can use when you read for your clients.

A. Determine the percentage of passive cards ( cups and pentacles) and active cards (wands and swords) in a tarot card layout. If there are more than half of active cards that means-days. If half percentage are active cards that means=weeks. If only a quarter percent are active cards the span of time is-months. And less than twenty five percent the span of time is-years.

You can look at the numbers of the cards to determine how many days, weeks, months or years. For example, in a five card layout you get three active cards (wands and swords) and two passive cards, add the number of each card (active) and you will get the total number of days. Because the percentage of the active cards is more than half.

B. Timing/Minor Arcana Shuffle and cut the cards into three piles. Reassemble the pack in different order. Now turn up the cards until you have counted off 13 cards, stopping if the card of the month has appeared in which case you have the answers. Should no card appears, start a fresh pile of 13 cards. If the second pile fail to reveal the outcome, that means the matter is still undecided or unlikely to happen. Here is the timing and Minor arcana tabulation.

The particular suit of the Minor Arcana corresponds to an element linked with the season of the year. This method uses twos, threes and fours of each suit.

Pentacles-Winter two-December three-January four-February Swords-Spring two-March three-April four-May Wands-Summer two-June three-July four-August Cups-Autumn two-September three-October four-November

C. Four Aces Method

Discard the Major Arcana cards, shuffle the rest of the cards and cut. Begin dealing the card into a pile of 13 until you reach an ace. If there is an ace and it is upright, the answer is “yes” to your question and refer to its seasonal correspondence.

Ace of Cups-AutumnAce of Wands-SummerAce of Pentacles-WinterAce of Swords-Spring.

If there are no aces appear in the first pile, continue with a second and third pile of 13. Again if no aces appear then the answer for your query is not possible. You must do the interpretation normally before getting timing information which the client requested. But a disclaimer of some sort though, you have to tell your client that timing information is pointless if the rest of the reading doesn’t come in fruition. Meaning, the client must do a set of intended actions in order to accomplish what they set out to do to, in order for the timing information to be valuable.

To be able to give accurate timing information from a tarot reading is an important skill. With a lot of practice, you will get better at it. And it is only a matter of time you will see your roster of clients increasing.
